Corsets & Costumes - Styles & Prices

Another wenchy style, this heavily-boned corset may lace up the back or front but may also be ordered with or without shoulder straps.  It features multiple scalloped tabs at the waistline with a larger tab in front.  This style is heavily boned and serves as a perfect foundation wear for a mid-18th century gown.  For today this style creates a unique profile when worn as outerwear, including as a bridal bodice.  $475.

PRE-VICTORIAN STYLES
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Before the 1800s corsets laced in back with a closed front with few bones placed in straight channels.  This created a straight-rib (non-hourglass) silhouette.  They typically had several bottom tabs with lovely shoulder straps tied at the bodice's top front.
